Contractor Driver of the Month

James Cory

Jim Cory was attracted to driving a big rig by the money. “I wouldn’t be out here at all if it wasn’t for the dollars,” he comments.

Cory started his truck-driving career 44 years ago. “I was 24 years old, and I had to have something to do,” he recalls. Initially with CFI since 1979, he’s driven over 2.7 million miles. He now operates truck 45300 on fleet 29.

“I run in a blanket of darkness if I can,” remarks Cory. “I pretty much leave people alone.”

He currently resides in Joplin, Missouri. When he’s not driving, he enjoys antique cars and money.

“I really appreciate Sally Ellis for getting all of this ready for me,” he adds.
